Introducing Zoe Grace Bowers

Zoe finally decided to grace us with her presence very early in the morning on January 5th!  I started having contractions the night before while I was having dinner at my parent's house.  Mike was working that night so I gave him a call and he left right away to pick me up.  We went home for a little while to pack up some things and then headed to the hospital.  We got there around 10:45 and Zoe was born at 3:23 the next morning!  I can't believe she's already a week old.  The last few days home with her have been a big adjustment, but we're all doing well.  Even Rowdy seems to be getting used to her, I think he's just as exhausted as we are!  Here are a few pictures from our hospital stay.

  Right after Zoe was born!

One proud Daddy!

Time for a nap!

Our dinner the last night at the hospital, steak and lobster and chocolate cake for dessert!

We were so excited to finally be able to meet our Zoe.  We are incredibly blessed!

First Post

So I thought I would start a blog so that we could keep friends and family up to date with what is going on with us and Zoe when she finally arrives.  I have quickly discovered that it is hard to write about something when you don't have any pictures or videos to go along with it, so Mike and I will have to start taking a camera with us everywhere we go!  Needless to say, this will probably be a pretty short post.

I thought I would tell everybody about our Christmas Light Date Night.  We decided that we needed one last date night before we officially become a family of three.  Last night, Mike and I went to Frisco Square and watched the Christmas lights there, we can't wait to be able to take Zoe back next year!  Then we went and had dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse (one of our favorite places), and ended the evening driving through Deer Field.  One of Mike's old co-workers lives in that neighborhood and goes all out every year for Christmas.  We took a video of his house while we drove past, so here it is, enjoy!
