Baptism

Zoe was baptized on Sunday, July 8, at Custer Road United Methodist Church.  We had a lot of family and friends there with us on this special occassion.  Here are a few photos from that morning!

Trying on her dress to make sure it fit.  The dress was made out of my mom's wedding dress!

After the baptism and pictures, we went to lunch with Zoe's Mimi and Papa and Uncle Kevin, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Christy and all of Zoe's cousins.  It was a great morning!  And thank you to Randi for taking the pictures for us!!

Six Month Post

My precious little girl is six months old, I can't believe it!  Zoe you need to slow down a little bit, it's going by way too fast!

We have had so much fun with you the last month. You are smiling and laughing more and more every day

This is you with Daddy at your six month check up.  Here is what you are up to this month!
- Your six month stats are 17.11 pounds and you are 25.5 inches long
- You have started reaching out for things so we're having to get in the habit of clearing the top of the table around us when you're sitting in our laps
- You are eating two tablespoons of oatmeal for breakfast now with a small bottle
- You have started eating vegetables for dinner and have liked everything we've given you so far except for peas.  Your G will be so proud!  Here's a picture taken after you finished your green beans.
- You are finally big enough to fill out your Bumbo and sit in it without slumping over!
- You are practicing sitting up on your own

- Still going to bed around 8 and sleeping through the night
- Wearing size three diapers
- You've grown out of all of your 3-6 month clothes and wearing 6 month and 6-9 month clothes (I've already filled up one bin with clothes you've outgrown!)
- You are talking up a storm and tell us stories while we're eating dinner, here's a video I took of you just talking away

- You have apparently learned to shake your head :)
- You have two teeth coming in on the bottom!  You can just see the tops of them coming in and it doesn't seem to be bothering you so far.
- You are starting to get a little anxious around people you don't know very well, crying when they hold you, but once you get used to your surroundings and the people there you are good to go and are happy to be passed from person to person.  Here's a picture of you with your Great Granddaddy.

Zoe, I keep telling your Daddy that you need to slow down with this growing up stuff, but we are so happy that you are healthy and doing well!  We love you so much sweet girl and are looking forward to watching you grow even more in the next month!

Better Late Than Never!

So Zoe, I'm over a month late in posting this one, but I didn't want to leave it out.  It's your five month post!

Here is what you were up to at five months old:
- Wearing size 2 diapers
- Still wearing some 3 month clothes but 3-6 months fit you best
- Eating two tablespoons of oatmeal for dinner
- Taking 8oz bottles of formula during the day about every four hours
- Still going to bed between 8 and 8:30 and sleeping until about 7

- Went swimming for the first time with the Kuethe family and had so much fun
- Still working on rolling over, you're so close!
- Still going to daycare everyday but Fridays when you stay with Gram

Zoe, your daddy and I love you so much, we couldn't have asked for a sweeter little girl!

Zoe is Four Months Old!

Zoe Grace you are four months old!  You are growing and changing everyday.

This is what you are doing at four months old:
- Four month stats are..weight, 13.9lbs, length, 24.5in
- Eat six ounces of formula every three or four hours and take an eight ounce bottle right before bed
- Eat a tablespoon of oatmeal to replace one bottle
- Learning to eat oatmeal sitting up and using a spoon
- You are drooling a lot!  We think teeth are right around the corner
- Sleeping in your crib in your own room
- Start your bedtime routine between 7:30 and 8 every night depending on how worn out you are from daycare
- We can put you down wide awake and you are able to put yourself to sleep
- Sleep between ten and eleven hours at night and are in the best mood when we come to get you in the morning
- At daycare you usually take one nap in the morning and one in the afternoon with maybe a few snoozes in between.  On weekends with us you take a couple thirty minute snoozes but don't nap very well.  We think it's because you're happy to be with us!
- Wear size two diapers
- Have grown out of your 0-3 month clothes.  Three month clothes fit you the best, but you can wear some 3-6 month clothes too
- Have incredible head control
- Are working on reaching for things and when you get something in your hands it goes straight to your mouth
- Love laying on your play mat and sitting in your space ship at our house and your car at Gram's
- Are talking non-stop
- You are so close to rolling over!

I will end with a video I made one morning when I went to get you to wake you up.  Ignore Mommy's annoying voice!  We love you Zoe Zo, happy four months!!

Weekend of Firsts

A few weekends ago Zoe had a few firsts.  She got to watch her first Ranger game!  While we didn't go to the actual game, she had a lot of fun watching it on tv.
Ready to go watch the game!
The next day Zoe went to her first birthday party.  Our friend Wyatt turned three on April 7th and Zoe and I went to celebrate with Wy and his family!

With all the action going on, Zoe was worn out and needed a nap!

The next day was Zoe's first Easter and her first time to go to church.  First thing that morning she got her Easter basket goodies.

Loving the doll Aunt Christy got her
Ready for church

After church we got changed and went to Mimi and Papa's house.  Zoe got to play with her cousins and hang out with her Uncle Kevin and Aunt Cindy.  They had an Easter egg hunt that Zoe got to watch and hopefully will be able to join in next year!

Three months!

Zoe you are three months old!  I am amazed every day at how much you are growing and learning.

Here are some things we did this month.  You had a playdate with your friend Jarrett!

You were so cute together, even held hands for a little bit.  We also took a little road trip up to Ector, Texas to visit your Nan and Paw.  Here you are smiling at Nan!

Here are some things you are doing now!
- Eating 4oz every three hours, but will be bumped up to five very soon
- Take six ounces before going to bed
- Still sleep in our room in your Pack n Play but are no longer swaddled
- Start your bedtime routine at 8:00 now and are asleep by 8:45
- Just recently started sleeping through the night up to ten hours the last few days
- Take a few naps throughout the day, but are up and playing a lot more now
- Still wearing a size 1 diaper
- Have grown out of all of your newborn clothes, they are packed away which made Mommy very sad!
- Fit best in 0-3 month clothes, but are fitting into some 3 month
- Doing very well holding your head steady
- Talking up a storm
- Starting to laugh
We don't go to the doctor again until your four month check-up but I can tell you're growing every day!  Here are a few more pictures from the past month.

Zoe is Two Months Old!

Zoe Grace, you are two months old!  Daddy and I love you more and more everyday.

We've had a few big changes the last month.  First, Mommy went back to work.  It was very hard to leave you that first day, your daddy had to push me out the door to get me to go.  Daddy stayed home that first week so I could get adjusted to working everyday again.  You and Daddy had a great week together!
Smiling at Daddy
The next weekend we got a new car!

Mommy's favorite part of her new car!
The next big thing is you started going to daycare!  It was so hard dropping you off the first morning, but you had such a good day, and Bobbi loves taking care of you!  And Fridays you stay with Gram!

All ready for your first day of daycare!
Here are a few things that you are doing at two months old:
- Weighed 10lbs 2oz at your two month check up
- Measured 22 inches long, you've grown an inch!
- Eat 4oz at each feeding and eat about every three hours
- Still sleep in our room in your Pack 'n Play
- Still sleep on your back and you like to be swaddled
- Have started taking naps in your crib
- The last few nights you have slept through the night between six and seven hours!
- Wear size 1 diapers
- Wear size 0-3 month clothes, you've grown out of almost all of your newborn clothes
- Do very well holding your head up when you are on your tummy
- Can sit in your Bumbo for a few minutes before you get tired

- Started sucking on your fingers even when you're not hungry
- Get a bath every night now as a part of your bedtime routine
- Have started following us with your eyes and just this morning I noticed you turn your head towards me when I started talking to you
- Have started "talking" to us, it's the best sound in the world
- Are on the verge of laughing, I have a feeling it will happen very soon!

Zoe, your daddy and I love you so much.  We can't get enough cuddle time with you and we just love to kiss on those chubby cheeks!  You are such a precious little girl and we can't wait to see what the next month brings!
